Compliance

Some jurisdictions regulate cancellation processes. ProsperStack provides a couple options to facilitate compliance:

  • One-click cancel — Display a link to cancel immediately from any step in your cancellation flow.
  • Instant cancel step — Give subscribers an immediate option to cancel as the first flow step, while asking for feedback and optionally displaying a retention offer.

Both compliance options can be enabled for all, none or some subscribers using customer segmentation.

Enabling one-click cancel​

The one-click cancel option displays a persistent cancellation link that allows subscribers to cancel immediately from any step in your cancellation flow. It appears in the left column beneath the headline and subheadline.

Configure this option in flow settings. Click Flows in the left navigation, find the flow you want to edit, click the ellipsis menu and then Flow settings. Or from the flow editor, click the Settings button.

You can choose to show the persistent link to none, all or some subscribers using segments or conditions.

Click Save to finish editing the rule and then click Save in the upper right to save flow settings.

The link's text can be customized like any other flow text, and its appearance can be modified with custom CSS.

Creating an instant cancel step​

The instant cancel step gives subscribers an immediate option to cancel, while asking for feedback and optionally displaying a retention offer.

Click Flows in the left navigation and then click the pencil icon to open the flow editor.

In the flow step diagram, click the plus icon that appears before the first step and select Instant cancel. This step type must always come before all other steps.

Give it a title and click Save.

Customizing text​

Like elsewhere in the flow, all text is customizable. Click the pencil icon next to any piece of text to start customizing.

You may optionally display a retention offer on the instant cancel step.

Limiting to specific segments​

To display the instant cancel step only to specific customer segments, use step conditions.
